About the Artists
Tom and Mary Kay Aufrance began performing with musician and theatrical friends in Tahoe Choir and at the
Valhalla Renaissance Fair in South Lake Tahoe. Their group grew to include up to twelve
singers who entertained at the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival and at Renaissance faires
throughout California and Nevada before focusing their musical efforts on Celtic traditions. Throughout this time, Mary Kay composed music inspired by whatever the duo was performing at the time, on her musical adventures from Celtic to American Traditional and the Contemporary and Swing Jazz. This book shares her early influences.
